Prices for farmers are too low to earn a living income. As a coffee drinker you are part of this system without being aware of it. We want to change these practices.
We invest in microfinance to stimulate entrepreneurship and growth in Africa. For every kilo of coffee sold we invest €1,-.
Farmers invest in purchasing land, coffee trees and cattle with a loan of 1.000 euro on average.
Research shows that farmers make more long term investments with a Pure Africa loan.
We purchase straight from farmers in Africa. We know where your coffee comes from, how it is processed and the price that has been paid to the farmer. A fair chain is what we aim for.
Our chain is transparent, supported by blockchain technology. We know what a farmers gets paid. This is verified by checking the farmer’s receipts. We want to know for sure that farmers receive better prices and we strive to pay a living income reference price.

Farmers are being confronted with climate change on their plantations. Sometimes there are heavy rains and sometimes there are long periods of drought. Together with farmers we try to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Farmers invest in improving their coffee plantations through microfinance. And we’re going to do more. Together with our partners, we are working on a plan to plant thousands of shadow trees that to protect the plantations.
