5 fair coffees with a character

Together we make impact through fair business. De SDG’s of the United Nations are universally recognised. Together with our customers we work on these 5 goals.

Our partnerships in Africa are based on 4 pillars. Read more about financial equality, microfinance, direct trade and climate below.

Financial equality

Pure Africa works in a fair chain where farmers receive a fair payment for their premium coffees. They need to make a profit on their sales in order to grow coffee in the future.

Above all, farmers deserve to be paid decently for a good product.

Microfinance

We invest 1,- in microfinance out of every kilogram of coffee sold. Loans of around 1.000 euros that coffee farmers utilise to invest in land, coffee trees and diversification of their plantation.

Microloans help farmers to increase the output of their plantations. Research show that farmers with a Pure Africa loan make more long term investments.

Direct trade

We start long term partnerships. So that farmers are sure of a buyer and we assure a high quality coffee. The lowest prices are not important to us, we believe in profitable prices. By building trust we create better partnerships.

Better climate.

Our goal is to minimise the climate impact of our chain and to do that on the plantations we source coffee from. By planting shadow trees, we protect coffee trees and tehe soil they grow on. At the same time we take carbon dioxide out of the air. So farmers are benefitting while we do something for the climate at the same time.
